When this service is useful
For buyers assessing a specific manufacturer's suitability before a sample or production decision. If there is no candidate yet, supplier sourcing is the earlier stage.
Inputs to get started
- Manufacturer details, location and a contact for access arrangements.
- Product specification and current negotiation stage.
- Questions to resolve and decisions they support.
- Available documents, access limitations and photography permissions.
How the work proceeds
Set the objective
Define the decision, questions and boundaries of the assignment.
Agree the format
Consider available sources, site access and any specialist involvement.
Record findings
Identify sources and dates; separate supplier statements from supported observations.
Report limitations
Deliver the agreed findings and gaps so the buyer can determine the next step.
Participant roles
The buyer approves the questions. RBW coordinates the agreed work. The manufacturer provides access and information within the agreed scope. Specialist conclusions require an appropriate provider.
Service boundaries
A visit is not a guarantee of reliability, capacity or future batch quality. A signboard photograph does not establish ownership. Laboratory tests and legal due diligence are separate assignments.
Before you start
Can you verify a factory we found ourselves?
Yes. Share its details, the product and the questions that need answering so a suitable scope can be discussed.
What if the factory does not provide access?
The limitation is recorded. Available alternatives are discussed; missing access is not concealed in the report.
Is everything in the report verified?
No. Observations, documents, supplier statements and unverified items are identified separately.
Does a report replace certification?
No. Testing, certification and specialist opinions require their own scope and qualified participants.
